William Morris in Tolkien

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arts_and_Crafts_movement

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Morris

This is connected to the Pre-Raphaelites. Indeed, a Pre-Raphaelite Production of Tolkien should be initiated. The inspiration for this perception of the deeper flaw in Jackson's Tolkien was crystallized around the image in Tolkiensociety.org/news of April the 19th.
An unknown woman stands modeling, I presume, a dress she made. Its amazing.
But I also have my own experience in Tolkien crafts...for instance, I have some Hobbiton coins that were donated to me.

The style and detail, the human imagination to be expressed in more fundamental ways than Weta's booth at a Ren Faire, but this is the impression. It would be ready to print out an item from what the customer picked out in picture, or on computer (nestled in the cool of the Booth).

But whatever Weta produces is toy work. What might be better to refer to is actual crafts being made by Tolkien fans which are expression of true craft.

There is something hasty in the Jackson films that degrades what would otherwise be a good advertisement for quality good. Of course its a movie. Its hugely profitable. Another one is not unfeasible: they make binge viewing productions longer than Jackson Tolkien "epic".

In fact, another Tolkien production should be, more easily, longer. In it should be crafts...and Elven Table for Guests...not meant to be manufactured, but a hand carved production by an artist for a significant fee.

This should an network easily promoted not just by the Middle Earth television production, but also through the Tolkien ephemera: Mythopeosis society, Oxmoots, etc.
This Tolkien culture is huge and spills over into the Ren faires, which is otherwise a perfect place to politely, and perhaps with no reference whatsoever to the property, sell quality Elven and Dwarven, and Rhunish and Tharbad...even Ghan buri Ghan, styles.
This was Tolkien's intention, and in accord with Ruskin and many others reacting to what about to a Crystal Palace as occupied by the owners of the estate.

Some speculations on the German Tribe

To be German,

Somehow, the proto Goths got pushed out of the Ukraine. Thats all we got!
So the idea of being German is more essentially something else than a having a homeland. I am thinking this sense is studying the people around you first, and then possibly fleeing.
Yet eventually the wandering people find the ends of the Earth. The Germans got bottled up in the peninsula.

Now, the idea that the German is not one of the Mycenean or Hittite colonist is a good question. The linguistic and genetics state that they are, but as formal colonists we cannot tell.
What we do know is that after the Hittite and Minoan collapse, around 1200 BC, there was already Celts and Nords, practicing bronze-working and possessing some of the steppe culture elements, at the edge of the 'end of Asia' or jamming  into the European penninsula...and mixing with the locals.
Furthermore, ever dancing around with these Proto Indo Euros...the Aryans or the Europids, were the Uralians, who have a similar history but characterized by more remoteness.
This remoteness is shared by Australoids, and in both cases the record shows that both being so remote enabled access to vast unsettled territory East: the Pacific and the New World. The German Atlantic access is a given.

These were the proto Imperialists. The point being about Imperialism is that it is centrally administered, and seeks to promote an elite at the expense of the inferiors, in ever widening circles, until it cannot feasibly grow any further.
The hapless Germans at this point should be regarded as a small, inconsequential group of Steppe people, who existed at the edge of two Empires: the Parthian and the Roman.
During this time there certainly was an exchange: many of the Steppe tribes would migrate into these empires, while many of the empire migrated out to the Steppe.
There was not a popular concern about literacy. There was not enough population to care or cultivate that speciality, for metal working and crafting were probably the most sedentary practices. Horse riding the most popular otherwise.
Furthermore, about this time, the Steppe peoples had enjoyed over a thousand years of relative control over Central Asia. This would end in another 800 years.

The sense of this older strata of culture, the atavism the German's probably felt after WW1 (which was brought out in sharp contrast to the advance of civilization which Germany, at that time, possessed) was a brand new insight, compiled from a previous 100 years of establishing and entire field of study: archaeology, which is now accumulated and presented as a subject at the University but the German founding of this discipline goes with remark.

But so far as being fashionably Aryan, well, the narcissistic Germans (of whom the Nazi's were a bad mix of atavism, classicism and modernism) found their Imperialist rage, and went about ethnic cleansing. Yet this was comparable to so many other cultures and Empires.

Incidentally, the Jews are like the Native Americans in this inept genocide. To be true to World History, the genocides, or really the attempt at genocides, rarely work.
Perhaps the Sumerians are a good example. There are a list of quite a few particularly extinguished peoples (the Sumerians were probably not targeted for genocide but just fell prey to larger and larger organizations). Many of the vanished civilizations or culture merely adapted more or less. Then, there was infinite space, and just calm slow admixture based on a natural bounty.
The other side of the coin is that there are still hundreds of groups of people whom genocide never really worked. That is a long standing list of grievances of which the Jews really only represent a vocal member of a vast club of people victimized by larger States.
Since the founding of America and its unique document in time, the Black American, the Native American, and the Jewish elocution, voices distinctively harbored in American, we can be read that whole World History of oppression by growth.

The idea is to ask the rest of the World simply this, as a test: Why is Liberty depicted in the West as a Women?

The question of being German is the sense of eventually realizing, all at once, that THIS IS NOT THE ONLY BOOK.
But for a long while it was. The Scientific sense that established America was perhaps best founded in the sense of a Democratization of the Tyrant, which is evidently the Greek project.
First, Tyrant is King in Greek. Second the stories of the Greeks seem like a outsider perception of people bent, broken, suffering and plagued by people with old tribal claims to divinity.
The Generations of the Agammenon and the Acheans, the whole panoply of the interwoven part deific part human generation of the Theseusian Greeks, is an episode of why we need Plato's guardians; they should investigate these murders and this domestic violence.
Of course its the "mad with narcissism" King, Queen and the rest of their family that also characterize a great deal of European History, as it developed with its back against the wall of considerably numerous hostile empires from the past.

The Greeks sound like outsiders to something, and that of course was Egypt. They were also aware of their own, older civilization and that it had vanished. Of course, the best story connecting We Americans to the Greeks is the greek who traveled from Athens to Giza...to measure the circumference of the Earth. Such scientific reflection is the very character of the American people in general. Such scientific...that is myth removed (its other people's stories from long ago), flourished while Greece was up and coming, and of course, diminished in its throes of Empire.

The Romans could see this process: of great early founding leading to establishment of the critique of the other cultures and beliefs around, and not belonging to, the "people".

Before, this foundation of Greek thought was a outsider reflection on the look of Egypt.
Pythagorous was not the first admirer, but its no stretch the Ancient Egyptians provoked Geometric thought. And this geometry is, in fact, the central innovation that led to the ascendence of European science. In the blank slate of the beginning of time, the Greeks got it right better than the other Civilizations, but they of course had an advantage of seeing older civilizations from the outside and did not have to agree with the assertions of those older civilizations.
The Greek reaction, and its important to note this as reactionary, for in it there is also the Hebrew reaction, the Roman reaction, the German reaction, the Irish reaction, the Russian reaction, the American reaction...this is encountering an older, foreign civilization that is obviously advanced.

Thing is, those who stumble into this, of course had less cultural baggage as well. Nor has the long strenuous conversion of the genetics of your people in literacy, nor has that begun.

Yet, meanwhile, they stumbled again and again, into other civilization WITHOUT preconception. This characterized the Greek against the German, for the Greek stumbled into people again and again who did not have this fundamental grasp.
By the time of the German, the 400CE, there were fewer illiterates to stumble into, and this brought that critical light to its own people.
This natural tendency to look down at the feet of the superior and all equally superior, created eventually "the studious German".
Which is to say the German is a group of studious people who benefited from good timing. The bad timing was the location eventually had Asia slamming its Steppe tribes of hyper masculinity again and again, spilling over the mountains and down into the plains of Germany, and eventually to the coast.
The Germans had colonized beyond the coast, but at this time the Romans were seeking to not just exploit the Germans, but use them as a bottle cap on the vast plains from which they could expect invasion after invasion.
So the German tribes began to be forcibly educated. Even while the these tribes were...well, really just swallowed up.
That they spoke similar language, expected that language to vanish as they rode their horses around the penninsula and beyond...the force coming from the East now balanced against the force that from a thousand years before, issued from the Center, and on one occasion issued from the far West.

So the Aryan represents these proto people, whom the Germans had to assimilate even as they learned, en masse, to think about values and other qualities, other than metalworking and war.
The Aryan is not precociously literate.

The Germans, or Goths (wherein, we drop the super state term of Aryanism, and accept the more focused term of the soon to be carriers of a National language) were not like the American Indians, The American Indians encountered a fully realized literacy of vast amounts of accumulated texts hauled around by boats, this nearly industrialized, literate people (of vicious biological endurance). The Germans existed alongside, for thousands of years, older perhaps earlier Greek or Proto Iranian or Hittites. They had to be a colony from Central Asia, that was pushed eventually toward the peninsula and to settle alongside the Celts, to be then packed in tighter by the closure, contemporaneously, by the Slavs of the peninsula.
That all crystallized, in Historical time, in a few generations, as if the Celts, Germans and Slavs all competed against each other, immediately and ruthlessly.
Meanwhile, literacy was introduced and the Germans, having a more unstable position, took to studying those around them more than those around them studied the German.
Its a slow wave that issues from these Clerical post, while the seriousness of the German adoption of literacy is evidently greater than the literacy adopted by the Celts or the Slavs.

This timing is critical here, for while the Germans settled down into their literacy, a vast world of books already existed, and required review.
Even as this unsettled the Roman Imperium, eventually leading to the Empire unable to control the adoption of practical innovations, that in the Aryan world had been established long ago as the means to remain a people against the literate empires. Metalworking began to be studied, notated, tested.
So to was the earlier insights into the sky: but all these differing Empires, which one was right?

Following "what is is to be German" these Germans discovered that even in their own onerous burden of review and research, there were insights otherwise erroneous prejudicing other civilizations as the previous ages meant prejudicial tradition for the sake of maintaining a sprawling identity. Even so, Rome continued this tradition, though from the priveleged position of the just now becoming Germans, these prejudiced lead to the downfall of a civilization.

Its not a simply cynical imposition of values for control: the story had gone through a very literate, sophistacted and innovative civilization...and the book, the Bible, was chosen for its quality.
So the Germans received a talented book first, even though its point was to enclose all thought and create a (dangerous) sense of the totality of being.

The critique of the King, as advanced by the Hellenes, was suppressed, though it is my belief the "Vatican" retained these books even though the 'loosening' them upon the Northern Europeans was done by another anti-Empire people

The Germans are just people: even as they retooled civilization like the other civilizations, the time had come where Imperialism began to lose its charm: the revival of the Greeks, the sharper sensibility that the Greeks had "lucked upon" now became the spirit of the age, while the old spirit, which we see in retreat today, the Empire, began its downfall.

The Germans colony had a better chance to create an Empire and it did, probably the last unless we somehow cannot manage an Empire of the Moon.
The German did try, the process had reached a culmination in their own ascendency over England, due to the continued valuation and of course, sharpening of the effects, of literate metalurgy.
Which is to say while England had vast fields of coal, a tradition of Empire imposed by the Romans, and a necessary, maritime adaptation, the Germans had not these, but chemists.
Also, there was in Germany still the insecurity of the foreigner from Asia invading. Germany's size made it too vulnerable.

But the Empire created by Germany, its colonialism, is actually more like America than like the rest of Europe. Germany had is genocide, but locally, as it had been boxed in by the those who possessed the further ends of the Earth. America too, had its genocide.
Again, these are almost always ineffective...the term genocide is a strategy of empire building that is not effective in the time scale sought by an empire....although it is effective in the short term.

One can see it as a collective vanity. The tribe suffers from this thinking, as tribal thought is not Global, and seriously lacks the proper scale at which human being live today.

Though the Greeks may have been the best Aryans...there is no reaction to the totality of life other than tragic, given human mortality? And even then the foolishness by which people erect Empires, based on ethnicity, only to see the civilizations eventual fall.

The German never got to promulgate "ye olde empire"; but again, they are lucky in this respect, though their normal human impulses tried to imitate the past. It seems the German is lucky in that the old process is now so diminished that it is a waste of time.

Wherein, the old empires could last a generation or two...or if really invested in, and of course, after a few misfires (fodder for later people to study), lasting for a few hundred years. Yet, that was all it could do. And after its fall its not seen as having anything more substantial to offer other than what those in the generation that founded it, used.

Empires and Kingdoms cannot compete with Scientific nations. Their basis is My People, My Language, My Traditions, but it is now clear that Science disregards these organizing concepts.
Instead, there is the more abstracted creed...creeds of which Religion began to found, but creeds whose uses began before the advent of Scientific civilization.
Science has extracted the essence of what creeds are, and set aside the particular ownership of a Creed as arbitrary. Some of this thinking is visible in Buddhism and Christianity.

So its really astounding that with all this pressure, generations and generations were keep in a stall formation, and the stall formation led to calcification or ossification wherein, the dynamic qualities reverted, by the hands of the people that conceived and implemented them, into static qualities.

Science is no foundation for a Civilization, though it is a foundation for laws before which we understand all are more or less equal. Religious creeds sought this as the older religions, invariably based on the tribe, couldn't endure the pressure of other Empires or the failure of their own elites.

The iron age is probably the transition from the elite stage to the democratic stage: the larger army, equipped well enough, can beat the smaller, better educated army. Not always, but in the end, yes.
Those who could field a larger army, whose definition of who belongs to the tribe had been liberalized.
Roman citizenship is an extension of Greek thinking about the establishment of the Polis and the critique of belief in the virtue of one's tribal people. The Illiad is a good example of the folly of this demeanor. The Greeks tried it, in their Mycenean coup, but it failed.
They tried it again, some 900 years later, and while this time it lasted a few generations, it failed.

These lessons were not lost on the Germans but those who were successful were Germans who had participated, visibly, in the process by which all the Aryans had participated: adapting their language to the locals. This tendency indicates people who issued from ease of population, from the Steppe, around the world, seeking to participate in the up and coming civilizations.

English is not mutually intelligible to German, but so many other Europid speakers are. Yet, in the larger sense of geography, there are not again: Though large groups diverged in pronunciation, the larger sense of "Latins" (Italian, French, Spanish), German (Danish, Norwegian, Swedish), Iranian (Persian, Baluchi, Pashto), etc.
Which is to say this long standing process of modification is held within the history of the Germanic people...wherein, while other languages are mutually intelligible, one of its own is not.

Therein, the essential "being Aryan", is contained. Being Aryan might well have been critiqued by the older civs as the Tower of Babylon. Indeed, Europids or Iranopids were in the mix of the somewhat later establishment of the Empires of Mesopotamia.
This approach might be critique or it may be a policy that is indicated. Despite the critique, the method, which insured a continual atavism to local standards, resulted in a people scatttered far and wide, and incapable of drawing, all together, themselves into a Super State.

The Colonial Empires of the Spanish, Portugeuse, French and English, were short lived. Even more so, a kind of embaressment. Older civilizations forgive this horrible process, because they themselves cherished the story of their own origin, which is analogous in it genocidal tendencies.

However, both American and Germany could not, for whatever reason, implement this greater vision. No due to a lack of motivation or a weak sense of History, but because the Science of civilization had reached its point...certainly by way of German scholarship, but also by way of American scholarship.

The American problem was created in its own foundation of a document that seems historically inevitable: the US Constitution.

The tribe had abstracted itself so much, had such a context in which to see itself most intensely as new actors on the world stage, that the document holds in it innovations meant to sustain the continuation of Science at the expense of Empire.
Similarly, Germany experienced a concurrent reflection which inhibited its own 'burst of empire', even more profoundly than America.

With the digital age and genetics, we can see the point of genocide should not have been others who were in the way of the Empire, but the genetically flawed, genetically inferior.
Really, the point of genocide has been renewed, and in critique of its obvious, ineffective misuse in the past, we can see its groping towards a control over people.
As in selective breeding by Aristocratic practices combined with genocide, characterized the old Empire ignorant groping toward what it could never fully realize.

Well, we have reached the point where we can do that now. The Empire should practicing, with greater acme, breeding and genocide, of the idiot gene, of the criminal gene (unless there exists a context in which these criminal genes can be properly yoked to enterprise).
Autism seems not to be idiot genes, but intensely specialized genes wherein all other practices are set aside. ADHD gene also seem to be this way, a kind of intelligence that does not thrive in the Liberal Literacies so integral to our aged sense of being a valuable human.

Which brings me to this point: it may have been bottlenecks into which we shoved "the people", for generations.
This idea issues from the point that over a few thousand years of upholding literacy as the finer aspiration...that literacy was a bottleneck into which we threw genocide and breeding...and created, from an tradition of cultivated Oral Tradition type of person into another kind of enhanced practice of Memory.

Yet now literacy is not so valuable. It improves self expression, but then self expression need not words...such minimal amount of literacy is capable of expression the self far better than before simply through social media.

Also, the problem now, of putting everyone into the same doctrine, like an Empire who possessed a Department of Education. No, actually, the state survives and further implements itself not by people using the language.
That is my point, is that using the National Language is not necessary to maintain the nation anymore.
The State thrives on instead, a proliferation of a variety of literacies, of which verbal is increasing reduced in relevancy.

Having no longer the great need of empire, though still possessing its impulse, enough literacy is all that is needed. Furthermore, these Austic and ADHD savants need not have the whole rejecting wieght of "civilization" imposed upon them with prejudice.

The education system of American can certainly adapt better by way of complexity of computers and genetics, and not in accord with its old Empire...which resists Science.

The Constitution undermines the error of Empire. Perhaps it enables something bigger, better, more insidious, but the Constitution as a document in History resides at a time of Scientific supremacy...of great diversity realized to exist far beyond the capacity that only Literacy allowed.

The final point is the adaption of this thinking to the Generation of the Baby Boomer, though the application of the idea that former Masculine triumphs of Empire had reached their end. This end was the end of WW2, when American, grappling with greater social issues, could not, by the means of its own Scientifically founed Constitutional identity, could not create a global empire.
Though is could materially...all the empires have already come and gone and this was made all the more obvious by the proliferation of libraries whose books explicated the failures.

Yet, we were men who won the War, and so, returning home considerably more Intercontinental, the momentum of the German diminishing of Empire seems negated by the ascendency of our American Empire.
This is the objection toward American exceptionalism.
The American exceptionalism I am seeking to establish is the realization by the Baby Boomers of the end of Empires, the dawning of the Computer Age.

The behavior of the Baby Boom is indicative, I am saying, of a older culture than can no longer contain those elements of socializing and civilization that spawned naturally, starting back in the 16th century of Europe.

Culture is to contain a people, however, American Culture of the 50's could not contain the actuality of Americans born after the War (well, 1942 is the dawn of the baby boom).

So instead, there was needed something to shore up the flimsy "Successful Warrior Empire", whose existence was based on old ideas of genocide and ethnic cleansing...but not only ethnic cleansing but the cleansing of the weaklings...the weak men conscripted and annihilated in the Battles.

The most viceral tool was not just TV, which is actually one way, but Electronic Music, which was far more interactive and exclusive.
Rock concerts used to be big. And Rock was a statement of identity against the Warrior Culture. The concerts were an affirmation of a new identity, a global identity that did not misplace genetic quality on those who looked the same.

This is the mistake, for while Blacks might look different, there is obviously among the Black race those individuals who possess superior genes. Just as all people...there is coming to light, in the new culture, those genes that work best, and those that inhibit the progress.

While we cannot be sure...for some genes may thrive in particular contexts: Computers might be the very thing Autistics, ADHDers, OCDers and many other otherwise difficult people on whom great energy is expended merely to keep alive...the creation of these special environments is necessary before the alternative, which is perfectly natural: the eventual elimination of these genes from the gene pool.

Furthermore, the integration of a vast number of genetically inferior types can be maintained, enhanced, and even enabled by an institution of Medicine.
Again, a imposition of taxes and social welfare...yet schools for the deaf and blind can now be even greater in efficacy due to computers transcending the senses...those who are deaf and blind might very well function normally if reality could be doubled in virtuality, and the sense of a space of noise and vision created only within the brain, yet matching precisely enough, the actual world.

Yet, this inclusion is the point of the Scientific civilization, and the whole point of the other practive of the other civilization: whose breeding and genocide partially meant the elimination of bad, deformed, weakness from the interwoven web of family...which seemed, according to a brain only capable of extending its memory through writing...to be the ultimate conception.
Now we see different. Now we see more.

The containment of the Baby Boom was taken for granted. Television began its doctrine, but the doctrine no longer was relevant.
There has also been a Literary tradition that took up this intuition...the eventual acknowledgement of he inadequacy of Empire, based upon the old writing.
Partly this was an anticipation of the Digital civilization, just around the corner. Also, this literacy fomented the creation of a intermediary culture for the Baby Boomer,,,which is now dying due to the full implmentation of a Digital Culture.

The books of the Baby Boomer, the intermediary culture of the Baby Boomer, also meant the further marginalization of Religion.
Religion, in the hands of the Scientific people, was already showing those holes by which many of the population could escape its spell. But then since paperbooks and libraries and television were everywhere...religion just did not have the same amount of time.
This religion endured in the small towns, where those who fell through the holes could just move to the city.
There remained bulwarks in the city, basically  maintained by the status quo.
This forms a kind of current culture war, but the culture war is a sideshow compared to the further implementation of the Scientific culture.

Most of the Intermediary culture of the Baby Boomers meant to be inclusive of a larger sphere of people. This meant understanding Eastern philosophy, accepting Blacks, and Women and other minority voices...and those who had always been afraid of the tighter strictures of the former culture (built around eventual dynamic of overcoming other cultures through Empire), which was the homosexuals.

The argument against these non status quo groups of otherwise oppressed and angry people became the Baby Boomers generations problem: being inclusive toward all meant adopting the narrative of the defeated: this was perhaps hand in hand with the accumulation of the voice of the defeated reaching a point of audibility...but only because of the founding of the Scientific civilization by way of the document of the Constitution and its first amendment and execution of the ACLU.

So the conception now is beyond the imagination of the older civilizations (perhaps) wherein, those who do not belong are accepted, supported, tolerated and even enabled to thrive. This is not the practice evident in all of human history. Instead, what we see is he resistence of this, probably because it meant the eventual overcoming of the local people from someone beyond the border.

There are no more borders really. The borders of states have no ambiguity other then in the minds of the people.
Americas emergence from isolationism gives it a equal status among the old empires, who emerged from isolation much further back in the past.

But the old machismo practices have been democratized. Its possible the Northern European, with his/her bible, nonetheless saw the end of this Empirical State by way of the novice wielding a firearm.
For the firearm eliminated the rule by the fit. This principle has expressed itself further by the democratization by way of electronics: even the hardiest, bearded Islamic warrior of unmatched physique...hell, even hundreds of these type of men, there are no match for the single adenoidal teen who otherwise controls and executes aggression by way of a drone.

We may now witness the diminishing of sexual dimorphism in human: the big bad guy is no longer necessary. In fact, the old warrior types are probably more a liability.
The civ wants a warrior class, but this class is better represented by those who can remote control killing machines. This genetic type I witnessed in Arcades.

Also, the tough durable man is no longer tough or durable enough. The real game that matters is now colonization, for through the extension of resource management Capitalism can perpetuate its class...and so men who can best endure the environment of outer space are just now being studied.
Probably has nothing to do with the capacity to heft a fifteen pound piece of steel for the twenty or so minutes of real hand to hand combat.
And of course, that type of man was seen to be eventually irrelevant, as early as the 16th century...which was the writing on the wall for the emergence of Scientific civilization.

The more this is considered the more the Aryan ideal of a German superman seems delusional, or to be more fair, a fatal kind of atavism. It certainly appealed to a sensibility that was already diminishing among the Europeans, but the ascendency of Germany in science, industry...without it yet having expended itself in Empire building, probably created a pahtway in cogitation that led directly to business as usual: if we are so strong, lets take from others...for we cannot be harmed in response.

It is a rich brew that concocts this method of a Scientific Civilization. To be fair, the other nations and peoples of the world plug in to the Scientific Civilizations...but there emergence of it, full blown, was established in the primal tribal times of Ancient Greece, on reflection of a failed attempt at Empire...an attempt to be like the others before and, as business as usual.
Yet it failed. Even then, nothing special emerged until hundreds of years, and scores of generations later...when the doubt settled in so severely perhaps.

Though the gigantic apparatus of the great living civilizations of today will not adopt the virulently anti-Authoritarianism of the Ancient Greeks, they may very well become the Germani insofar as they have to study America, Europe, to understand the ways of means, the concepts and exceptions to the rules by which all others formed great peoples...but did not form great Scientific insights.

Authoritarianism was defeated by the Americans in the Constitution. Authoritarianism takes a modern form in Ayn Rand, but it really has existed as the essence of Government for Asia since time began: if not the authority of the prients, then the authority of the Warriors, or even later, the Authority of the Literate.

Such authority no longer exists. Even as it does it falls to more poweful authority that emerges from rigorous doubt. This process has resulted in the ascendency of the West, as it doubted its own special nature of the tribe, or claim to ultimate authority.
This may have been done while rubbing elbows with the older nations, but as it stands now, the doubt of America issues from its own radical debasement of any central authority in its culture, because Science has to fall to singular individuals who believe nothing, and doubt all, even colleagues.

It may be the identify of those who dont belong: these identity founded in the Steppe, for that is where the problematic members of the old tribal people went to, while the others stayed and built civilizations...like Hittite, Persia, India, Greece and Rome.
The bowl above wherein the criminals were banished eventually spilled West, as it was tipped that way by those from the East.
The Celts, Teutons, Goths, Huns, Finns, got crammed into a smaller space, and hammered on, by the overconfident Empire thinking of old.
Nor was it an easy resistance to this essential doubt that led to true Science. Even as all were pummelled and beaten by the Empire...the Empire itself denied this aspect of the foundational Greeks, and tried to go along with the flow that otherwise was the practice of the Globe.
But the Empires fell again and again...what was the flaw?

The establishment of a religion based on pacifying and positing an anti-Empirical type of man seems to have worked better than the imposition of the Great Warrior Leader. Alexanders empire failed...just like all the others. What was left was Dynasty but Superior Dynasty already belonged to others.
Yet, the Northern European possessed no inherent trait that led to Scientific civilization other than this buried, neglected sense of a anti-authoritarianism...the critique of the Greek thinkers and writers.

Once that emerged...widely in the post printing post Theocratic Europe of the 16th century. Northern Europe then had a Smorgesboard of cultures, ideas, books, inventions and notions, othewise embedded into the blindness of the Authorities of the World, yet freed from their contexts suggesting a greater civilization to be had in synegystically accumulating and repurposing...inventing...these things and ideas.

Hence, again, the first and second amendment and their obvious anti-authoritarian values.

Baby Boomers picked up on this very well, but as they twisted in the winds of change that had yet to be realized, there was a implementation of those older cultural practices the critique of Authoritarianism, amplified by the larger wave of the inevitable emergence of the digital age.

This interim culture came and went within three generations. It certainly was not denied or held so prejudicially in the reaction from the triumphant warriors, but those warriors asserted their irrational hold over government by way of practical assasinations: business as usual for Empires.

Yet the culture beyond the old Authoritarianism had to emerge, and is now fully implemented.

The relevancy of the Literate response, beyond the new Authoritarism of Economic Authority of Socialism...its groping toward the future entirely bound to academic authority against the Mercantilists and their progress into Capitalists.

That conflict was not a intellectual conflict. Furthermore, it obviously was the tool of state practices of Authority: the old method.
No, the new culture was based on books, movies, music, and cars.
It existed for a few generations...it is now sublimated into websites. Car culture is dead, as is literary, music and movie culture: its all in the service of Digital Civilization.

Which is to say whatever was relevant to a thousand people, now only need a score. The scale of diversity can be contained, while the great doubt toward the fallen Empires of yore is far more relevant than ever.
The governments will continue with business as usual, but the culture of the world will be ever more abstracted from the people where it came from, and otherwise formed around psychological types: the literate and dramatic will form a culture away from those governments and people from which is emerged, to be truly global.
Take Psy and Gangum style, for example.

Automatic computer translations will eliminate what had otherwise been boundaries of language insofar as culture is consumed. Language will still play a role in National identity, but Superstates will exceed National identities...albeit, only when Culture is so vividly important to the individuals consuming it.
This harkening back to the language of "our forefathers" as a reason to pre-judge those around us will diminish...though it might still be a source of imposition by Grandpa, that generation ends as the Digital Age they never fully anticipated or can adapt to, continues to be implemented.
The actors who speak will have the totality of their voices abstracted and reconfigured to the viewers consumption, for example.

But the World will take on Virtual America or Germany flavor. One can travel, but the old structures are actually quite limited. One can count them easily, carry them around to be visited virtually. Perhaps all of the useful architectural and artistic expressions that are the essence of the past of "a people" will be a one petaflop, while the Digital Age up till now represents two.

History

The war in Turkey.

The invasion of Turkey will occur as an extension by the EU and Russia into Turkey on invitation of the Turkish government. This invitation will be secret.
The reason why Turkey will invite a proxy war in its own country is because of the escalation of the war in the ME.
The war in the ME, lets call it WW3, will be over the superstate. Islam...probably cannot form a superstate purely on the basis of a Caliph: Pakistan, India, Indonesia and other peripheral states, like Tunisia, Morocco, Algiers, Khazakstan, Azerbaijain, there is little incentive.
However, Iran, Turkey and Arabia have been trying to build a superstate there, and have for centuries here, and centuries there...so the time is now due to the necessity of creating a superstate to compete with the other superstates: China, India, the EU, Nafta, etc.

The border in Africa can stay. There will always be insurgents, and during the surge of hands to contest who the superstate head is going to be (it wont be Turkey), the Christian-Muslim border will undergo some contention.
Kenya might experience an invasion, while Nigeria may be deliberately shifted toward Christianity.
Or, the Muslim might gain another State in Southern Africa.
Furthermore, if the Sahara greens, like Global Warming would predict; this would alleviate what might be a generations long struggle.

Regardless, to stem the tide of fervant energy up the Tigris-Euphrates into Turkey, the war in Syria serves to sink the current reformists revolts, and create a null space around which a larger war can be enabled.
Saudi Arabia may fall, but that means a more fervent class seeking to save Arabia's symbolic administration of the ideology...or really rule of their idea.
Sorta like Communist state purges of Capitalist Roaders...the state that will seek to resist this recent rise of Iranian hegemony will create the greatest amount of all out War.
Who will win is hard to say, but it looks like Iran is going to have the upper hand in that doctrinal arguments have been purged, and the secularists have not been.
Meanwhile, the Saudi's entertain two or three rival sects.
It may be that across North Africa, there will be little fighting. Libya, or Tripoli, may regain control over Libya proper, via armed conflict.

However, the war will center on Arabia. This war will not spill over into Israel, as suspected the Muslims are not monolithically 'against' any group of people...though the official policy may be against apostasy...the apostates they worry about are the Shi'ites, not the Jews.

However, Israel will have border skirmishes, perhaps even an invasion attempt by a fractured coalition. No one state could take on Israel, except perhaps the superstate that is to be established...by the Shi'ites or the Sunni's.
It looks to me like the Saudi's are going to have a very difficult time.

Who knows how bad or well they treated their people. The might take refuge in other countries, for instance England. I think this would be okay; most of the Saudi's are probably perfectly fine people who had nothing to do with a oppressive state...although, as per any overthrow of a Monarchy (one of its other fatal errors...the other is vanity in its genetics) is that the abuses of Monarchy: the over bearing, over reaching, vain and ill treatment by members of the Monarchy (it happens with rich people over here, but then again, they are not considered guardians of the State!) create a opposing class, usually peasents, who with nothing less to lose, rise and overthrow.

One would think this is obvious in study, but the Arabians have a narcissism about Islam, naturally because they control its most of its purse strings.
