Theory programming: musical outline

Part 1

Stretching the sense of history by deliberate positions of history as connected, for which there is no connection yet. Sometimes confuses with Historical Drama, but informed by Art and Archaeological History.

The Myceneans calling the Minoans "one eyes", stealing cattle, on the run, avoiding brothels, focusing on plunder...as if Odysseus was Jack Kirby's OMAC.

There is a precedent...I rarely claim any original insights and more gathering of disparate things from others so:
Hesse's humor in Magister Ludi I get now. As it is told in boring overtones of a minor incident while reviewing a larger picture of the times before and after, this being a kind of chore on the way to completing a larger picture...

This works with the combo of the Steampunk-Imperial-Sci fi musical. The compression of vision into a framework, nevertheless flexible in this heterogenous way ("to digress" may be a faulty function now in language, wherein, in substantiating flexible vision in a flexible narrative I would term from a previous essay regarding the installation of camera schemes to vary from narrative art to narrative art, from 'look' to 'look', look being both art style, illustration style, animation style and lighting style and editing style...yet still cohesive.
Hesse tried this with the trilogy of short stories at the end seeking to connect everything by analogies, metaphors and narrative reach, all three being short stories in length.
But I never really got that...getting through the first of Magister Ludi is not like Burroughs, but it is like reading Stephan King as he bloats and puffs about too much.
Its funny in a way. I mean lets not deny Mr. King a sense of humor.

So as Magister Ludi is pretty accurate about the future of Media, its quaint and humorous in being cranky imposition, a chore to relate, of a minor biography analogous to Rutherford B. Hayes.
One could be the Aggrippa authority at the local classical Saytr play.

They hide their Imperialism behind Piracy.

So, the Bactrian teaching Scythians, looks pretty good. They who return to Babylon, Caucasians a small group, really, smaller than the Armenians and Georgians and coming over the mountains as Cimmerians and Kassite wave. North Caucasians wandering around after Semites on the Oxus.
They learned writing from the Hittites who learned writing from Akkadians.
So they take this back to Central Asians highlands, and the rich pastures and farms formerly founded by distant Akkadian traders, a distant colony overrun by what might be native Central Asian highlanders...perhaps it was the Harrappans who fleed at the invasion, and along with them the peaceful Aryans settling into trade with the Oxus, at that time it seemed to be room for all and kind of hard to really picture population pressures creating warfare.
No, it seems like tough guys show up to check each other out, get into some trade, and then a whole colony shows up, and for most of the time, with occasional Imperial dicks coming around, trade and intermingle. Urbanize.
The thunder god is positive because its usually bringing rain..you know, when he thunders. So, it was generally a positive story to tell to Agriculturalists. Naturally they would like your story.

So, in the Extraverted Europid, the lucky kid born on the edge of vast, vast hiway going east-west, full of horses....came back as the Scythian or Slav, or, the Caucasian or Goths, or, the Avars, the Huns and the "East Aryans"...the last tribe to propel itself into the colonizing of the European penninsula.
At that point Europe had become Urban, and mult racial...and it continues to be settled by foreign peoples...until we are now a kind of global network of curious, scientific minded people.
Yet always in the background...the not quite so blond, the Stonehenge people, Basques almost.

These from the scattered colonies stretching from Hattusa to Minoa to Mycenae...a tri-skelion banner map for the Phoenicians to read a trade association,
From there surmise the swastika a trade association based on West to East on the steppe...fairly easy and less prone to Piracy via Meroe to Harrappa.
They had good stories "...the rain bringer, and hey, were all messed up by Poseidon, and furthermore, we have Gems....from Hades...he is after our puny lives! How much for these?"

The story behind the oral tales turned novels is a double act too....Poseidon is the bad guy, and he shatters the worlds, shatters Cretan civilization....and here we are, wanding around, the Therans, without a home, and where do we go staging what story to tell?
Of course, to the threatening people of greater army, and to the kind and citadel, our own wanderings among the fantastica of the world...these Minoans now One eyes, these North Coasts of Lotus...travels that sound strange and entertaining...and then of course, they move on...attracting some followers.

Where, they reach a puny state, a smaller camp, a weaker citadel to their own small army of wandering Thebans...and to them they say "we come from successfully destroying a massive City, far bigger than yours! We had our gods powers, and we know the idiocy of these wrathful hotheaded soliders of youth. Laugh with us as I tell you the most ridiculous of all, Achilles...surely you will recognize in your own military advances and battles, what kind of soldier you should NOT have..."

and if they thought Achilles a model...they were conquered...but either way, after the story, they might very well set themselves up as colonists...pirates settling in and "taking over". These peoples wouldn't lose their local language, but the records now being kept were in a strange writing, and not just memory.
Surely, they revolted. The Thebans brought in their cavalry, the Minoan confederation on the coast, a massive army wandering the Med...the Illian a lie actually.
The Achaens lost. And they had been there so long, their old homes destroyed...they instead, wandered...up the Danube to found Hallstatte and Nordic bronze age colonies, and to Corsica, Albania...pirating Phoenician Trade.

which flung colonists...by the disaster of Thera, and also to trade success creating larger familes and reaching a kind of stasis against the crumbling again, of Anatolia, into invaders.

There must be a kind of "Free Anatolia" long vanished political movement. There was a diversity probably based on an earlier migration...perhaps the Basques related to the Lydiansn and the Cycladians.

This was like the Caucuses...a kind of outskirt or highlands quickly leading down in the hot house civilizations of Chaldea.
Kind of a witness from beginning, and from whence they moved into Anatolia...not exactly Armenians yet, too much time goes by, but Armenia has that significant skip that brings us quickly into the Iron Age, while having been a crossroads of the bronze age.

Anyway, the Aryans had probably been settling around the Black Sea, with them being now Scythians or Aryans a matter of distance from the north facing ridge of mountains draining into the Aral and Caspian sea.

All of this a kind of basic diversity, but with some picking up along the steppe of mixing groups, probably through slavery or just the joy of the ride and the hunt. All those surrounding Nations had...golf resorts from the Black Sea to Lake Balkhash.
Paid them in trade to be allowed to go hunt.

This is while centuries of agriculture would go on, during a kind of equalization along the more permeable hiway.
So, the crossroads thrived as well on trade, and mixing and developing a value in peace.

This is a connection between Hittite and Aryans. If this is posed, then the Cycladians or Mycenae, were a third cell, but from the extant of the Black Sea, how related to Lebanon?

Because the point is alphabet spread. Just because it occurs here in Greeks, does not mean it did not occur to the Caucasians before the Kassites of Babylon.
These Caucasians may have transmitted the alphabet to the Aryans.

Anyway, highly speculative, but, this can be a quick transition of states, carrying a single game around a succession of time, skipping time, not necessarily having to go to far back or to far forward...leaping from here to here across teh globe, from one generation to another, like tag.
What they tag, as evidence, is DNA, and this leads to people, and they are looking for a set of DNA markers...

lets say five. That are like J, or Rh1-Rb, or etc., trying to trace backwards to find the flawed gene's origin.

Time Traveling medical students tracing DNA by following it from a certain point into the past forward, generation after generation toward the origin of the wrong turn in humanity.

This wrong turn is some made up history. Not satire on our own, but it could be satire on today's politics.

So, the art of this time goes for representing a setting. People are always nearby when they jump forward into the future.

So, in this case, it begins with:

albatross
genetic limit
corrected lenses
belong
war king
father emperor
less than glorious
court of the free people's king (overdone, stagey, show within a show)
sing out sing out
albatross reprise
internal surgery (wishing)
est by now so far or automaton (sundays)

Part 3
Future space ship

The theater or performance of the play is done on stage, and each time it is done onstage it is motion captured.

So the time traveler game show, ttgs, this starts with a scenario, a mystery the characters must follow.
What is presented are these points to choose...almost like doors in a hallway...good set..

70's cop show
World War 1 Air field
Apocalypse Inc
Crecy' Medieval

Bang they pick 70's cop show...

sequence ensues,

Bang, what option do you pick to blink out?

Some drama on how to use the Time Traveler Device...digressing into Pataphysics.
Bang, the list appears...

Fantasy Opera
Comedy Sci fi "Jetsons"
Cowboy Theater
Gothic Isolation (an empty void appears)
pause

Fantasy Opera

Wherein, they are in a space junkyard.

Stuff happens, then

You activated the Time Portal by accident; now you arrive

Can I spin it to arrive by some choice/

yes. roll

and he rolls a 4 out of ten.

okay,

Whitehall gang of time travelers pursuing Jack the Ripper

and then pursuing the brain of Jack the Ripper, discovering his brain was in storage, and then missing, they track down the brain in Apocalypse Inc.

But then we lose track of the sequence, as this part expands in time....

however, excluding what else happens, we go to the next song

Declaration is a series of behind the scenes blackmail...they come from archive photos, so its a multi generational conspiracy presented in cutting out the portrait within the scene and having that portrait become animated, so speak directly to the game players, so there is a sequence of looking around at each other...

This is all the people in the conspiracy, all of them. Now what?

They play Shakespeare Role Playing Game

then the war is fought how?

In the weird time traveler space? Flying around galaxies, zooming in and out of dimensions...gigantic star swirling center of galaxies, to frozen planets, to surface of Jupiter...and long tedious bang bang, they shoot back, bang bang...
but exactly the same motions as the World War 2 combat...Hurricanes vs. Zero's?

They look like solar carbon biplanes...the French and Spanish planes of ww2.

But altered, added to, retexturized.

But its intense with numbers.

Anne of the Black Gables

The New Evil

Ioslation creates this vulnerability.

So, now that we have established, either through your reading of Wired magazine and you are just now tuning in...not having read anything else I have posted, the Wired articles probably suffice.

What we have established is the foundation, the eye opening, the waking up into a higher consciousness, via machines. Really, the instant scholarship of the digital age, the low burn (all cellphones are probably powered by the equivalent by what all of the power generated by solar arrays) and global access, the appeal to Oral practices...this is new.

Oh sure, there is lots to be afraid of, sci fi tells us so. But lets not be afraid. Lets do what those sci fi movies tell us not to do, lets go ahead and work in the direction of what HR Giger and HP Lovecraft and PK Dick saw as the extinction of the human, more human than human.
Boogie man, really.

So, what is the evil they envisioned? Duplicates without human values. Nihilists, thoughts, images and societies  on the other side of the black hole.
No more than Heironimous Bosch or Tolkien's arguments about Beowulf.
Monsters.

However, what monster hid are now revealed.
Those who are not digital are to be tracked by other means, as every creature on the planet will be...just like the Domesday survey or Deuteronomy...finance demands this.

Tracking people has become acceptable anyway. The hue and cry about the Patriot act never has emerged into a political will, not enough people are complaining, and so its something that was seen as inhuman, now somewhat more acceptable. We aren't doomed this way, but yes, yes, yes...then follows a cascade of more inhumane dystopias, all paling really in comparison to the old hardships, and then the Hell's they imagined, seem so cartoonish.
Torture and body mutilation, they went underground, into psychic mutilation..more about that later.

Now, though, the hell of secrecy and the hell of publicity.
Whose in control? Not the controller of the recording and monitoring device..the drone in which the Human behind it has a learning curve...to eventually step away with quite a vision of Earth. With probably really good potential for literature...(though, that does not ensure a larger soul, these people are still depersonalized for service and technique).

The old stories say the same thing, limits. Human limits. Meant to curb hubris, meanness, short sighted, selfishness...inhumane tasks made less mundane. Jobs, whether making pots and sowing fields requires Thoth, or, typing on the computer requiring thought...it would be easier to just give orders...the ultimate goal for every tyrant, every self so inflated that they cant stand the chores expected of them because of their elevated social status...no?

2.
What was the "Nationalist motives to compete" goes away in a puff of digital smoke almost like the advent of the scribes forgot about Kings, as least those who could read what they scribed.
The institutions supporting this "National drive to compete" can only be possessed by a diminishing increasingly irrelevant retiring generation, the family achievers finding their children no better for brutality than the rest of their generation, no matter how well their own experienced brutality motivated them to run over whatever obstacle at all cost...to escape.
The Imperial Nation is too easily comprehended as the photos of the decades emerges. Modern competition works fine without Imperialism. Yet, some people are not as motivated to be dominating, no. What did we lose, ten or twenty percentage points that composed a society driven to tyranny?
My family dynasty will exist for generations to come, said every Emperor and King. But....they dont.
Not that they know that...all they get to know, tyrant after tyrant, is that the family is a lot more complicated than a harbor for unbridled ambitions.

The story that was once open, industrialism seemed like the end point, there would no other world, this one worked forevers...until WW2, and who knows...its now closing...as fast as the new opens, right?
No other technological shift in population has ever been so sudden and, well, feelable, as if History is also being reduced to finer, granular level one can get the feels for.

But even that is no big deal, really. Nothing to be afraid of, the no great shakes...we all feel a bit more liberated in that the technology enables Justice and Law to prevail even better now. Its a very civil change of things, actually.

A large police state added at the verge, during the 1990's, and then from there prepped, staged, to jump on the National bandwagon of digitalization, circa 2000's...largely the Clinton and Bush era legacy of controlled social change.

Many benefited. Crime is at a low level, well, the low droning screed of street crime and gang violence. That doesn't happen anymore, so now on to the random shootings...and despite all the posts in my social media feed, I feel like these are not that frequent.
Thus, that slot meant for crime seeks out to fill itself, and having one layer of overt crime reduced, it reveals another crime underground, now technologically enhanced, and always a international network: human slavery.
What is their weapon? Fear...so they bound themselves together early on...the pedophile network, the slavery network, the prostitution and drug trap, but now very, very new drugs...but, as this kick of power and control was growing out of their own fears, so strong, they are blinding themselves to humanity.
And none of them carry of magical ring of invisibility, though many think they do.
The magnification of the "Panopticam", the bugs eye views...this was waiting to receive them sometime after the psychologists began to model them, before 1997.

3.
The story of the good Psychiatrist, her lost private practice, and ruthless pursuit, through a world of abused new hypnogogic psychiatric drugs...wherein, some of her former psychiatric patients had lured her into other blackmail arrangements.
So she is to says anything. later on, after the first blackmail ANOTHER blackmail is there, for even more backlash...but that is later on in the series.
Also, as a re-occurring scene in the first season, people show up, old friends from back when (High School, Medical School), even in this scene where she is public, complaining, but then some mole is passing around videos...she never sees them.

After she is fired...early on in the first season, this regular guest appearance starts up...its not predictable...though more often she gets visitors almost every episode.
Somehow, she has to have a pause in the sequence of events, wherein, she keep this going...escaping, dodging, investigating...her phone somehow tracking her....but she used it so well forensically.

Half Hour episodes, with ten minutes part one, ten minutes part two, ten minutes part three...sorta. Really, they need no standard end point. One can write up a twenty minute to forty minute show.

SEASON ONE
Okay.
After this intro episode where two patients reveal this world, this first episode, like, part two, she makes antidotes, experiments..(locking herself in her safety house, but then waking up unconscious she wakes up somewhere in town, standing on a street corner) but then succeeds, fails...these drugs including abuse cases which open doors into abusive familial relations wherein the mentally ill person is too afraid and they use hynogogic drugs to get answers.
First episode so far.
Part two, she goes to locations:
All these leading to her discovery, but only in glimmers...almost like "The Prisoner" show. Except, its not a place its all around her...due to her job. Yet, the first place she gets caught in one, her drugs did not work...and so, she wakes up, and is let go by these creepish guys now in the room (where before she was at a party her patient had mentioned was trolled by these people).

Episode Two
That day, later on, after she goes to work
She loses her job due to blackmail. Her board review is up too.

Then, she goes into role playing game scenes because the other patient mentioned that as where she got drugged, raped and blackmailed.
There is a Pedophile network she is investigating.

(She belongs to no tough guys. Her family is not part of the series. She has mostly isolation, but there are people from her past...guys and gals, who seem to be dropping in, one or two every episode, who seem to be reassuring her after the blackmail made her lose her job.)

So this is the first two episodes, her intro, her investigation after a couple of clients make statements.., second episode, she takes risks and goes to locations...meets odd character.
Then is chased...and it captured.

Episode Three
She takes some pills, and of course, they offer a glass of water to drink. No talk, nothing more.
She drinks it and falls asleep.

However a drone is outside, and it is following her infrared. She is brought upstairs...though she is drunk...she thinks back to boxing...which she was really bad at, and then being all aggressive as a young chick to some cops, kicking them...coordinated however drunk.
So, they bring her upstairs, these two guys. One is the stranger.

She is interviewed before hand...but the vision of him is blurry. This person is meant to establish trust....as one falls alseep...so the care and reassuring the person is...becomes blurrier...normally, because it is waking up...though, she continually has to act like she is falling asleep.
So, she is led to the bed, and she is laid in the bed, and then they wait. One leaves the room. The other starts making noise, but at a opertune time she rouses, like she is awake, stairs down, giggles, then he shrugs his shoulders, drops his pants, and she pushes him over so that he smashes the window. She runs over to the door, locks it, runs over to the other door, locks it, just as people reach each door.
Then she runs to the window, opens it, and climbs out. Runs away.
Car comes...but then another car in the direction she is running comes...so that car slows down.

She runs a bit more, across a Elementary school, and then onto the opposite side she turns around and sees the car creeping around, hunting, but off.
She waits, listening. Then jogs around the corner.

She is darted as she sneaks toward her house.

End of third episode.

Fourth Episode (first season)
Dismissal by the board. Freeing her to go into investigation.
She gets a job at a Used Book store.
She carries a gun. Then she is arrested and her gun right taken away because of...violating a law, so she goes back out into the world, and improvises her self out of another assassination attempt.
Not nearby the police station, but instead nearby the book store. A bullet goes through a book she is holding, from the back door that then slams shut, just as she is being fired by her deaf Book store manager, who is on the other side of the store.

However, the bookstore manager feels the pulse of air pressure, comes over, asks her what was that?
Oh, the book, see?

She shows her the smoking hole.

Its deadpan...but really going for a realistic feel. So she begins to take anti anxiety meds, and continues her investigations.

So, we find out she counseled a lot of people in the Military.

We also find out the human trafficking network in her town. What is eventually revealed is a trans ethnic slave market, where, buyers want ethnicities other than their own.

She finds out, of these people, by following one she recognizes by sitting in a car at a local convention.

She discovers a slave escape network, but keeps investigating. Like Heart of Darkness a little bit.

She finds a former experimentee revealing a lab.

Fifth Episode (first season)
She finds a lab with people being experimented on.

Then she finds a world, into which she is captured, that is like the British Show, The Prisoner.

Except she escapes.

Six episode
Then she begins to run, but write while on the run, around the US.

Last episode of Season One

SEASON TWO
The hunter becoming the hunted.

She finishes what she writes, publishes it by sending it online, and then, at a moment of relaxation...then is captured and taken back to the Prisonerman place, but this time its different.

A place where she is knocked unconscious but then revived, each time in a different place, like the Truman Show but each few episodes she is a different sci fi world, seeking to research in these strange worlds what the psychology will be like.

So, the first episode she wakes up in Male Gor like world, where she is suppossed to act like a sex slave, by nature of physical domination. Yet, she disagrees with this...and there are scenes where she sees the people, her drugged co inhabitants experimentees, being told what to say, and told what to do...she is also subjected to this...but she resists...mostly just by stopping...she is not physically forced...yet, soon, though at a wakeful spot (perhaps talking to Master...) she goes asleep again (they control what she drinks...its hard not to find somewhere that is not poisoned with this sleep drug)...
...and

Second episode
She wakes up in another worlds, a communist, Social Workers collective farm, where, she is indoctrinated...as if a member of the Social Revolution. There is no family, and she is assigned sex duty...which is finds ridiculous...falls into drowsiness, wakes up...
in Gone with the Wind (bad idea?)...but she isn't working out as well as the other druggees, so they keep moving her

Third Episode
She is woken up by her kids, her husband...who explains things to her..something quotidian and she refutes that she ever gave birth, although they have pictures!
Her husband gets conjugal rights...but she resists this somehow, and wakes up,
and then she is an actress in a sitcom...the pounding on the door is the scene she has to memorize that day and all over her little apt. is actor career stuff...she memorizes the part, but when she is to perform it she is a terrible actress, but then she learns it is a porno movie, so this guy is to have sex with her. but she resists...then her 'acting coach' obviously one of the Masters, its just that he asks her questions about belonging...she doesn't really...so she falls alseep again.

Fourth episode
She pulls out the computer interface that connects a nueral web, and she is on a space ship with three other people.
They land on ice.
She is the doctor. Apparently, regulations are enforced rape...
But somehow all of them...maybe this is the final place, are the ones who seem to be resisting and paranoia ensues...murder, violence...she escapes by running out over the ice.

Fifth Episode
A rich Whore in some bronze age or Roman set...she doesn't buy it...though, each time she participates...willingly, buying into it at first, but then always some little thing revolts...
then, a member of a Jungle group of women victim revolutionaries, where is trained to use a gun...
then she is captured, set up to be a sex slave, Imperial male domination.."You are guilty of violating your father's will!" Rebel! Now you must pay..."

Sixth Episode

(Some people are aware the inescapable use of drugged water. They slowly dream into wakefulness then out of wakefulness into a sleep awaking the next day slowly out of a dream into wakefulness (what like a six second sequence of blurs, and stumbling cams, but strange noise pheonoms, something distinctly unique about each blurriness, you know...each time a different sci fi set. Like Touring the Worlds Fair projects of tomorrow. Sometimes its in a wasteland...having put aside a antidote that finally works...say, after the second season, or, the escape is the last show of the second season. I think you understand, like "The Village".)

Anyway, first half of the sixth episode, she escapes this. Second half, she encounters, in the small town square, a Theater group, she is invited to join...yet when the pursuit is catching up to her...they close up, and hide her.

THIRD SEASON
Then, the third season she is on the run again, but this time she is brought into a network of Marines.

They are a traveling theater show...Ren fair like. But their audience is only by social network. They perform to Military groups. Each performance is a code.

She is brought into their group, and learns to sharpen her improv. She learns some moves the first episode, training...then she attacked and uses her moves, and the attacker she finds is one of the troupe in disguise.

The troupe has a Cajun, Puerto Rican, with accents, Swedish, Irish  and Black, woman. She is a Jew.
They all wore different skin tone makeup, so they all looked white...it was a enlightenment style show.

So she learns in the first Episode how to fight.

The raid rich peoples homes...its a series of break ins, done very realistically, wherein, the get materials and collect them, and then leave them all in one place.
End of the Third season episode

Episode Two, Season Three
The next episode, she is hobbled by a injury...ankle turn. Stabbing, falls...whatever...

So, she is sent to a remote place to rehabilitate. There is a mole here though, and so begins an intrigue she can only feel out by speech, as she in wheelchair bound.

But as this resembles a ten little indians story, she figures it out and has planned a trap.

Wherein, that takes two episdos, so by the end of episode three, that very night she reveals the murder, nullifies her, leaving ten more people not murdered, she is then captured and taken off again.

Episode Four, Season Three
Now she is lobotimized (its not commen knowledge that you can outgrow them...hence, some people had lobotomies again and again...)and put into a prison camp and made to work, not so long as to require the actress to lose a lot of weight...but, she escapes when it floods, end of Episode Five.

Episode Sixth, Season Three
She shows up in a camp with some abusive Call of Cthulhu fans, who kidnap her and keep her in a basement...so as the discuss what to do, with her, she washes dishes and gathers the laundry...their discussion gets personal sex slave, they talk about the drugs. each one has a moral reaction...but they seem to be too fascinated by the idea of the experiment.

They hear her sweeping, they look around the house...then she says "she aint doing none of that shit anymore if they dont leave her alone...she just wants to sleep in the basement..".

"And do household chores?" They look around at themselves,  "okay".

They get embaressed, but its still creepy. She goes to bed at night and listens to them play this Cthulhu game...and they are monstrous, though, its really funny.

SEASON FOUR
This begins episode four, when she has a implied a few weeks of rehabiliting, yet at the beginning she  has a psychotic breakdown, and those guys call the ambulance and they take her away.

One guy follows her story, in the next episode, where, at the middle of the opening season episode, she is put into a psychiatric cycle, interviewed.

Episode Two
She is fairly back to normal, and it begins with her still not telling her story...meanwhile, this guy shows up and gets her story, eventually contacts (off screen), one of the Marine chicks...lets say the French girl, and she breaks in and breaks her out, the very day the Paranoid Schizophrenic medication take over...so, she acts totally inappropriate to the drama of the scene.
Not intelligently, but you know, no Dsytopic, but like, okay move on.

Episode Three
So, the last part of season four is the Marine keeping her secreted away, wherein, that first time she is shown the place, her Marine friends humble, small home, she sleeps, and then wakes up in the middle of the night, a has a dream.

Episode Four
Dream ends, she wakes up again. Then, she is toured through...back through each world, to end of episode four at a announcement of a trial.

Episode Five
At the court trial...wherein, the last episode is a court case where she testifies, and the second to last is her review of the "striking of the sets" that formed some nine episodes of the second season.
The trial reviews the fantasy world, as a layer of bs that is meant to psychically dominate people, selling them on moral relavitism, wherein, its end is still Human Trafficking, slavery, largely pedophiles and rapists.

Sorta like The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo meets Travis McGee.

Summary

1st season, psychiatrist investigation leads to Slavery, into capture and escape.

2nd season, Hunted, is subjected to a sleep experiment world.

3rd seaons Theater Show to Nunnary. Lobotomy, prison camp/

4th season  Call of Cthulhu, chores/Review of Sleep experiment World/Court Trial.

The Golden Age of Literacy

Some people are more spirited, some less, the more spirited sometimes being troubled, but certainly more passionate about the truth...the engineers make assumptions and seek power.

Engineers, the less soulful, are more a tool of politics than Scientists. Science has a politics to it, but, it has proven to be dependent on truth and so the application of science, as a power in government, is focused on justice and truth.

It is a lot more exciting idea during the iron age, without Scientists (except there is the edge of the Hellenes), to have presented to a metallurgist culture transubstantiation.
Inside of Alchemy is gestated, this not quite sure mutation or revision and change of one subject into another, where, so may other instances of metals mixing creating another metal...it suggested a similar transformation.
Yet, it also pointed to the right path down into science.
So, as an experiment of an idea of a literate or literary construction to be promoted among an illiterate people, who yet have some science "literacy" in metallurgical processes, specifically.
And, it didn't work. Though transubstatiation has traction with Tribe, Bronze Age and Iron Age and literary to Scientific thought...all that could not close on the ridiculousness of its claim.
After awhile people seriously doubted transubstantiation, and it became a dividing point in the Reformation.

All along there are people who doubt these things...there is a Socrates in every large political organization. Despots and Tyrants would kill them, but, this was not genetic so over the thousands of years dominated by "Hero's with PR"...you know, huge, gifted psychopathic men of athletic capacity, who would kill without thinking and possess the best ability to kill and use tactics.
Conan is a Tyrant.

Anyway, once thing too complicated for one man and his advisors, some who were killed (imagine the quality of advisement!), governments used writing and laws. This had to beaten into populations over centuries...and the lesson is still not all the way there.

So too, is there a imbalance in the "history/progress of science", given its all equal, but malformed in terms of documentation. The documentation was confused too!

Then as Bronze Age confusions were sorta out, into Iron age configurations and re conceptualizations, throwing out some of the Bronze Age traditions, adopting new ones...yet, still all within a Frontier. Nevertheless, writing and codifying laws. And, practicing science...this process worked well for writing could make maps, orders, and contracts.

Meanwhile, other people nearby, out in the frontier, they dont practice law and writing, yet, naturally, all thing being equal, they do practice science. This is evident in the Bronze Age Tribes of Central Asia.

So, eventually, the Iron Age people's idea of governance as processed, refined, customized, THEN its presented to the illiterate yet "science" aware people...who really have not had much else interfering in terms of paperwork, laws, but certainly understanding the value of maps, contracts, treaties, negotiations in paper. This all at once, added to science, given then, not its own beliefs but others systemized and codified and comprehensive and exhaustive beliefs...more than one person had to study the stories...wherein, in the Oral Tradition of the Ur Mythology, so impressed with Fire, this found marginalization quickly.

For instance, the idea of Absolute Monarchy was a kind of celebrity status granted from the writings of the Bible. Before, there was no exhaltation of the Tyrant, except in some primitive bronze age civilizations of quite small populations.
So, sure, King is not cognate with Tyrant but its close enough insofar as the Military faction rules by brute force....especially where authority is absolutely the Kings.
There are breaks to Absolute Monarchy, more a literary term or a term like Celebrity, than is it a real application...though, you can use its victims as examples, the Aristocracy or a even a foreign King ruling over a different people creates a counter attack, but otherwise, a King ruling over members of a people who are a political faction, and not just an occupying force with a bigger military, could form into a dynasty but those have not proven to be that effective either but we can imagine, in a dynasty, a capacity to control breeding among families.
Language is usually the divide here and in England it was the division of the Germanic speakers from the Latin speakers. Both were the same people...although, this was the edge of the Germanic colony.
The colony had time to develop its own literacy alongside the tutelage or example of the Romans.

This was duplicated by travel back to the East side of the Rhine...merchants, travellers, people who didn't really trust the Priests...these people were not Germanic so much as a more ambiguous genetic heritage of Germano Celtic.
But the point is, this later group, the Huns, or the Aryan, or the Teutons or Odinites...these people came over from the Gothic side.
Goths were a colony sent out into Scythia, perhaps after an epidemic...wherein, the coast was clear.
There they were, there they pirated because it had long been settled, but then sent back into Gothia by invaders. Some stayed, Volga Germans, but others brought back some genetic material based upon the Scythian Central Asian model.

Aryan is not quite accurate. One could say the Goths were Aryanized...but then one could say the Dorics were Aryans.

The point is, the genetic red or blond, then mixed again with genetic red or blond, but these were two isolated tribal confederations on the far Frontier of civilization, having been spread from an earlier Bronze Age colonization, created another layer over, what seems to be now, a stabilization of a fusion to extinction of the lesser number Neadnertal with Cro magnon.

Therein, the Basque..and builders of Stonehenge...these people are a evolutionary fusion through conscious breeding selection of a improved stock of people in Western Europe.

Onto this colonized Mycenaens...really, another phase of colonization across Anatolia.

The Minoans could be co-colonizers of a Central Asian version of the Basque....but the Hittite to Mycenean to Hallstate to Estrusca to Celts to Teutons...all these seems to emerge before the Bronze Age collapse, perhaps it being after a colony growth, then reached enough to return, from greener pastures, a burst in generation.

These the Myceneans gathered up, and attempted to seal off Troy from the Anatolians indigenously there...controlling the straits and access to the Danube. Or simply a war to control the straits between the Myceni and the Hittite.
The idea was to fuse with the Hittite establishment...a multi generational tribal plot to control land, issuing down from the North Shore of the Black Sea, but also across the steppe, which had been "conquered" by chariot and horse.

This is again, what the Aryan Myth is all about...these are people who have developed a Warrior class through the wealth provided by wheels and horses.
Like Agriculturalists, they had armies of men, bred to be larger, fast, coordinated, and desirous to fight and obedient.
So, the Aryan is the bred warrior, yet this is visible in Akkad and Egypt before the advent of the Steppe Warrior breeding "program". No special claim. Obviously, the Bantu did this too, developed a Warrior class.
I think the breeding emerged from whom had a more aggressive a program...a kind of spontaneous development based upon accidental meetings with other peoples once an area became settled....and a genome peculiar to that area emerged.

Some of this genetic emergence is based on technology, so its safe to say that literacy now, has bred through favoring, this alongside the ongoing breeding of warriors, another type of human being that is "IQ" oriented.

But that has changed now.

Now we will have kids growing up inside of virtual duplications of civilization. This is just emerging now in fragments and whispers.
Wherein simulation vs literacy, all the things expected as skills will be introduced simply, and then slowly, over time presented as increasing complex simulations and models, of the adult reality.

Trade, law, contracts, courts, civil engineering, space engineering, farming, medicine, all these subject can be children's games, increasing made more real and complex, like Math, year after year.
The warpage necessary for literacy diminishes...the warpage necessary for physical prowess diminishes.
The literary civilization is subsumed under interactive 3-d game civilization, which is a more accurate form of simulation. Literacy tried to be simulation...it operated through plays and novels and poems, to describe the world. However, that was only because the world could not be traveled in one lifetime, the world could not be seen from space, the world could not be mapped in 3-d.

This means the role of language will diminish, while it may increase slightly in oral demand...the demand to evoke a world through written language will diminish.
Books difficult to read will diminish in adoption. They already are since Television.

Literacy' golden age might have been the 16 and 17th century (of European reckoning), a peak of writing wherein what it had to do to be effective could not overcome the longer ongoing practice of science...by way of metallurgical and alchemical development.

The remoteness and mobility had created a genetic stock away from the literate generations and generations coming from the Four Pillars of Civilization.

So the purpose and practices of the Iron Age did not really apply to the horse and wheel culture...this was largely a produce of Agricultural people. Seems odd to those who know the Iron Age as really the time when the Warriors could shine.

So the weakened roots also failed to close the North European to its own conceptualizations not based on terms from another language.

The accumulation, lets just say there are a absolute number of books...each generations making more...this accumulates and lets say at a certain number, one book per ten people for instance, a critical mass is reached and number of books creates a new knowledge...simply because, like ten commandments, the human mind has slots in its memory, and ten books then overcome ten commandments, in terms of packed in knowledge.
What of? I mean, what are a lot of these new books of?
Things.
Like plants and animals...now being documented. See? From whence Science emerges for illustrations BECAME legitimate knowledge, having been signs of mental processes or schemes of visions.

So, half genetically conformed to literacy and half disconnected (as a distant European leaving the tutelage of the mass of urban population to carry but one book, out into the Frontier), the American is a stalling for an even longer time, this phase of literacy.

We now can see literacy as a phase of civilization which roots the digital, but which represents an earlier, smaller bandwidth of consciousness and application and understanding and reference.
One began to feel Math was more universal...and as Math education increased the literary also lost authority...we'd rather aim cannons with Math, than God.
In this way we could feel that the primacy of literacy might someday be replaced by Math...a mathematical language. We also yearned for simulated environs, in writing and in painting.

What literacy was seen as started out magical, lost its magic due to the claims being more spectacle than real, and losing the symbolism because the monsters had never really shown up.

Digital culture will have a similar adjustment phase, wherein, there are distortions and incorrect assumptions...digital age ministry is going to be quite a new adaptation, for its is even another step removed from a single book.

But there is more magic in oral traditions of telling stories...or telling the news or sharing the moment most intimately...after actually being there! Oh to travel and learn the truth of the world.

Also, the slot in the brain for learning symbolic manipulations will be marginalized...oral language and written language will conform...but the writing of letters and the reading of vast amounts of text and handling intertextual combinations...this process become a blink, so that any other time spent doing this in an old way becomes a odious chore.
So, that slot will be more limited, just in time, as the person gravitates to simulation education, and not literary education, and leaving only some remaining, which would have to be continued if not increased practice of symbolic manipulation, in Math.
We wont lose the nomening...the terming and labeling and...the closure of thinking into vocabulary "lauded" as knowing the thing in reality...the terms weaken in use too....so that the problem with literacy, its abuse by Nationalism or colonialism (terms of the Other) are obvious, and mean less a belief in the process of civilization IF that civilization continues to exhault, idolize in fact, literacy.
This means in fact that increasing Math literacy will subsequently sustain some of the language literacy, but as the Oral moves into stronger position, notation and clerical diminished, and Math remains to have the same demand in time as before, literacy falls to the wayside.
No one learns to diagram sentences. Grammar is a huge downer for most kids to learn (it was not for me...but I was odd).

Hence my critique of the state of Education, for it promulgates literacy, and then makes corrections for the habit of mind inculcated, wrongly, by literacy, it makes a problem in itself that it must make another problem to solve, which is an escalation of power beyond what literacy should have due to its limitation.

The power of simulation began to be eroded when Photography started. Then, it was first marginalized by motion picture, which evolved into television.
At this point, those adaptation of literacy, the improvement and increased regulation and practiced in greater musical accuracy, the improved Oral Tradition now returned, wherein, before, in the 17th century, it was a division between the written and the spoken.
We refer to the popularity of Theater...but Novels and political treatises, and philosophy and other books became a absolute improvement over knowledge.
Democratized memory in writing, when before we could see some people from tribal times had better oral memory, and then too became part of breeding program in priesthoods.

These people who possessed better memories...had to have enough to remember longer stories, so Homer was one of these people.

This also happened everywhere.

Anyway, the capacity now is another jump in progress to equal in quality, equal in reformation, but not equal in scale, of that transition from oral to writing experienced almost eventually by all people, yet, some earlier than other...which I call the Four Pillars: Akkad/Sumer/Indus/China.
Maps, as literacy used as story or info, this practice alone make this obvious.

So, the literary can be seen as a mid phase of the development of civilization and those people who thrived yet without conforming their population to literacy have skipped a step and might engage in conforming genetics to the digital age.

In other words, what qualities of mind and talent will capacitate to success, in simulated worlds?
Or, it is possible, to simulate "The World"?
This is what kids want to learn, to act like adults in a simulated world, or the world...where the mistakes to be made have no consequences...they have results, yes.
Where they can then find what it is they like to do in a simulated world, and from that simulation then engage in increasing realism and responsibility.
What is instead taught is a long slow process in learning to manipulate notation. This notation is in many cases, math, language...other codes. But never is it digital notation. That is too new.
When in fact fusing "language" with "math", both symbolic notations used to simulate....we know what that is, right? Programming.
This is not taught to children, though, programming would be easier, as it is both subjects fused into one.
Then, language of course, as written, an improvement in speech.
But what when the computer obeys speech?

The industrial age created literacy, standard. This is lost some of its steam in the 1920's, even more so in the 50's, and so now even more, a greater standard of marginalization.
Not to argue against notation.

But the children lose sight of the simulation that Math and "English" make. Kids had this problem with this during the Industrial age. To turn this into a prejudice of a flaw in the child is wrong...and this will become more obvious as another generation, perhaps when the Millennials kids start to go through school.
At that point, I am guessing 2020's, I will be politically active. Meanwhile, I will use part of whatever fortune to back alternative education...as I saw the "underground" and "counter culture" turn to "alternative" to then become mainstream. The educational establishment is confused, ignorant, and impressed with literary achievement.
Who of them is keeping up with my level of literacy?

This argues that for instance, philosopher like Hegel, who was obvious clued in to the alchemical and metallurgic thinking, formulated a literary construction of reality, straining the limits of language to force, by will, language to have a truthful as humanely possible "correspondance" with reality.

Also, the Post modern philosophy, both corrupted by the Marxist closure of reality into language, and further, the closure of language as a capable reality now vanishing into...something distrustful...largely characterizes not only the linguistic gymnastics but the fascination and prophets of doom, of simulation, and protestation, of many of the Post Modernists; the philosophers from the 60's until 2005 (when lets just say when the Internet emerged as that 'monster' to behold).
A large amount of what the west produced as literary is also marginalize as it knotted around the limits of language yet still had the belief in the power of writing.
We can begin to understand our own digital editorial slant merely in John Dee and many other transitions from Mystics and writing and schematics to printed circuits, programming and screens.

This works into the appreciation of language as a virus through Laurie Anderson, also, the problems of teaching kids the Industrial-Literary age, the custom of teaching literacy in Religion as dubious cosmology, and the valorization of language as integral to belief and identity in Nationalism, and the prejudice of the literary to the untutored...and the death knell of the urbane vs the rural.

We shuddered in these reflections during the 80 and 90's almost as the pupae of the digital age, still wrapped in paper, yet Humans capable of feeling the dawn of something new but not yet having those powers. This is the new age religion, the post modern philosophy, the economics of media, and the estrangement from a old humanity to a new humanity also evident in horror and images of biological transformation.

Bill Plympton's animation lost cultural cache (this happens to many things) after transformations lost is term....the label as a catch word for the future vanished as the horizon of what it meant to label then moved well past the horizon line and we are in a newer, brighter day of a more accurate world view.
I felt the idea of the World, a single idea, was possible, back in 4th grade. The globe itself is this tangible idea which supercedes the literary presentation of the world in whatever form or language.

The globe, a globe in a classroom, trumps any story or "description of" a world. In fact, the idea of parallel worlds is a literary falsehood presented by the obvious massive scale of the equality of any language with any other language.

They are all equal in their limitation. Another language has created, or generated, so many problems, its greatest irritant being the complete and utter contradiction of one's own reality as created by the preponderance of literacy, promoting itself, falsely, as these solutions.
It worked for awhile, but even as the digital age marginalizes languages again, those solutions language presented in the more rudimentary use of symbolism, which worked, now fall aside as solutions....just as the Oral tradition could not compete with maps, orders, letters delivered, and vaster codifications traveling through time better than faulty, contradictory, less efficient, memorization.
